ADVENT CANDLES

Advent Candles – Sermons That Were Never Heard

 1. Traditional Lighting. Light the first candle on the first Sunday of Advent. On the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day, light one of the purple candles. This candle represents the hope that people felt before the birth of Jesus, and you can read Isaiah 64:1–9 to accompany your lighting.

2. The candles on the Advent wreath symbolize hope, love, joy and peace.they consider the fourth candle to mean purity, and most use a fifth candle, called the Christ candle, that is lit on Christmas to remind Christians of the light Jesus brings to the world.

3. The pink candles represent joy.

4. Three candles are purple and one is rose or pink. The first candle represents hope. The second candle peace. The pink candle, generally lit on the third Sunday of Advent, represents joy.

First Mrs tui told us how to do it but all of us did now know how to do it, so Mrs Tui thought of an easy way for us to make one. She got an idea so she showed us how to make a plate with the two pieces from the tall plant. Mrs Tui did my one and in my group I was the only one who had done the plant.
